Exeger and Mobile Interaction in partnership to create Powerfoyle Software Development Kit (SDK)
December 21, 2022 – STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – Exeger, the Swedish deep-tech company behind the revolutionary solar cell technology Powerfoyle™, today announces its partnership with Mobile Interaction, a full-service app bureau, to assist Exeger’s customers with mobile app connectivity and data-driven product development.
Powerfoyle harvests all forms of light (both natural outdoor and artificial indoor light) and converts it into clean, electrical energy. Due to its flexible design, Powerfoyle can be manufactured to fit any shape, size, and form factor. As a result, it is able to be seamlessly integrated into any electronic device, including the likes of headphones and devices that typically come with an accompanying app.
The result of the collaboration means that Exeger’s customers can build native apps that provide end-users with real-time data that helps them to better manage their self-powered devices. This includes data on battery reserve, as well as gain per hour (measured in Milliamperes). Users can also look at historical data to help them understand how different light conditions impact the device’s light-harvesting capabilities.
Through this partnership, Mobile Interaction will develop and host the Powerfoyle Software Development Kit (SDK) and support its users throughout the build process.
The Powerfoyle SDK contains live ‘gain and drain’ data, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection, Realm integration for storing historical data, and a simple UI to make it easy for end-users to navigate. Moreover, it contains a sample app to simplify the integration into any third-party app. Exeger and Mobile Interaction will continue to develop the SDK and make sure customers have all the necessary tools, information, and support to implement the SDK into their applications.
With the combination of Powerfoyle SDK-know-how and solid technological and designing capabilities, Mobile Interaction will build custom apps that truly enhance the user experience of the physical product and unleash potential for new revenue streams, deeper consumer dialogue, and data-driven product development. To help customers with less design experience, Exeger also offers customers a pre-designed Powerfoyle app that can be easily customized to fit the company guidelines in order to uphold the integrated brand experience.
