Giovanni Fili, CEO and Founder of Exeger, said, “This is going to be a game changing event for Powerfoyle and Exeger. We plan to showcase the power of light in a way that has never been experienced before. Our goal is for every visitor at the show to understand how Powerfoyle solar cell technology will completely revolutionize the way we power our devices. Self-powered consumer electronics will become the new standard, and CES 2024 will be the springboard for the mass adoption of Powerfoyle.”
Heading into CES, this week’s launch of the second generation of Urbanista Los Angeles headphones and Urbanista Phoenix earphones paved the way for the next generation of light powered audio products. Urbanista’s launch builds on the success of the world’s first light-powered headphones and earphones with Powerfoyle solar cell technology, which debuted in 2021 and 2022. On display at the Exeger booth during CES, the new second generation Urbanista Los Angeles and Urbanista Phoenix redefine the audio experience with a combination of wireless freedom and cutting-edge green technology.
3M will also show for the first time the world’s first self-charging protective communications headset that converts outdoor and indoor light into clean electrical energy. The headset uses Powerfoyle to recharge a built-in lithium-ion battery, eliminating the need for single-use batteries. So, whether being worn while working outdoors in the sun or inside with artificial light, the headset will continuously charge. Importantly, 3M partnered closely with Exeger to optimize the Powerfoyle solar cells by using 3M’s film technology. In addition to light-harvesting capabilities, the 3M™ PELTOR™ WS™ ALERT™ XPV Headset includes many advanced features that allows workers to stay safe, connected, and productive.
Philips will showcase two self-powered products, a television remote and sports headphones. Both products are powered by light with Powerfoyle and will be on display at the Exeger booth. Other products unveiled at the Exeger booth will be a a hearing aid from Voxx under the RCA brand and a self-powered speaker concept from Tymphany.
