Philips Headphones with Powerfoyle now available for purchase

Designed for active, eco-conscious users, the A6219 provides sustainable audio by allowing users to recharge their headphones with both indoor and outdoor light, eliminating the need for traditional charging.

This week, the Philips A6219 on-ear GO sports headphones, featuring Powerfoyle solar cell technology, are available for purchase.

The A6219 on-ear headphones feature Powerfoyle solar cell technology, allowing them to recharge using both indoor artificial light and outdoor sunlight. This provides nearly endless battery life – with 80 hours playing time – while greatly reducing the need to connect to the grid or replace batteries. Powerfoyle is manufactured sustainably in Exeger-owned factories that use 100% renewable energy and emit no toxic emissions.

To further reduce environmental impact, the A6219 headphones are crafted from 35% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics made from old bottles and other waste. The packaging is plastic-free, using 90-100% recycled cardboard with soya-based ink and paper pulp inner trays, with box sizes reduced by approximately 40%.

The Philips Headphones App allows users to monitor solar charging and battery levels. Despite the addition of solar power, the A6219’s performance remains top-notch. The app also offers biaural beats for relaxation or focus, which can be enjoyed alone, mixed with music, or as part of a soundscape.

The A6219 headphones are designed for durability and comfort, perfect for active lifestyles. Lightweight yet rugged, they are built to withstand the elements with an IP55 rating, offering waterproof, sweatproof, and dustproof protection. The soft, breathable fabric ear-cup covers are gel-filled, keeping the ears cool during long runs, while also being washable for easy maintenance.

Sound quality is exceptional thanks to Philips Sound Signature – originally introduced with the Fidelio range – now enhanced by newly developed 40mm drivers. For those who crave extra punch, a switchable dynamic bass boost feature is also available. When it comes to calls, the AI-equipped microphone ensures crystal-clear audio, making these headphones a versatile choice for both workouts and everyday use.

The headphones are available on retailers such as Amazon.com, with an RRP of €129.99 / £109.99 / SEK 1299
